Evening all. So my 2010 started to make a noise. The plan was to swap this for one upto 2016 as i understood this was a direct fit. Finding an engine was quite difficult but i managed to find one for a 2018 and from my research this was also possible. Long story short its in and fully working. Giving the engine swap a wider range to choose from 2010 Injection used 2010 Knock sensor used 2010 Header exhaust used There are also difference in water pipes so again the 2010 need to be used Apart from that the engine dropped straght in, and first push of the button fired up https://youtube.com/shorts/dP8-aI9NWf0?feature=share
I did originally plan to get it tuned and dyno'd but it's running great at the moment so less bothered. I'll possibly look at getting it done in the new year. But the bum dyno would suggest more power and smoother delivery.
Did you use 2010 throttle bodies and airbox too? Im just figuring out what i need to buy, also is any special tools you need to take the lump out? Thanks
