After a bit of advise guys. I'm wanting to remove the left hand switch gear on my 2011 Blade track bike. Is there a resistor kit I need to plug in to the loom so the bike will start once the switch gear has been removed? Also, is there a similar thing for the side stand switch?
i did notice that gibbons on your bike. there is no clutch switch i don't think. been a long while. the side stand switch, twist em together if i remember correctly
Just done mine removed complete left switch and wires for clutch switch . Side stand twist together and tape up
Cheers guys. I'll joint & tape the side stand switch up. The bike will start with the left switch gear and clutch switch removed?
Hmmmm tried to start the bike with the left hand switch gear removed and the side stand plugged back in. Didn't want to start. Am I missing something?
Yesterday I had to plug the side stand and the left hand switch gear back in to start the bike. Won't start with just the side stand plugged in. It's stummped me tbh. With my S1000 I had a resistor kit that had to be plugged in to various open connectors to fool the ECU in to thinking everything was connected..
Every blade I've built I just remove the left side lights switch completely and if removing the stand, just shorted out the two wire connector, but if you leave the stand switch plugged in make sure the switched is in the closed circuit position (stand up).
Cheers guys Iv found the problem............ Wait for it................ I'm a massive d**k head.............. Bike was in gear............ THATS why it didn't want to start lol. Put bike in to netural, removed left hand switch gear and she fired up straight away lol For the side stand switch, I cut the cable off the side stand leavening approx 1inch of cable and the connector. Twisted & soldered the cables together then heat/shrink wrapped both cables. Plugged back in to the loom. Works a treat!! Happy days
I was turning my bike over in September and wondered why it wouldn't start.. Didn't have the tank on ha
