Evening Guys and Gals, Can anyone shine any light on whether a 2013-2015 seat cowl would fit properly onto a 2011 bike? Have seen a few Ads stating it would fit 2008 through 2015, wondered if anyone had any experience of this? In Repsol colours; I'm looking to buy seat cowl part number: 08F71-MGP-M30ZB According to a parts site the correct part for the 2008-2012 is: 08F74-MFL-800A But this seems to have been discontinued everywhere. Any advice appreciated, Cheers
As interim advice, I am fairly sure it wont fit. I have a 2011, and I know the later bikes have a slightly different tail section which would make the 2008 - 11 cowl difficult, if not impossible to fit. I actually prefer the later cowls because of the higher hump. I'm sure someone will offer definitive advice later in the day.
Hmmm.... cheers for the advice, you saying you prefer the later ones with a higher hump, am I wrong to think that you mean the style seen originally on the sp as seen below? Where all seat cowls after the sp with a raised hump ?? Fairly sure the 2012 onwards had the higher hump. However, I am not knowledgeable enough of those models to give precise advice. Sorry.
The 12-16 main section of rear fairing will fit 08-11 IF you have the standard 12-16 plastic undertray/number plate holder the standard fairing panel (like a long U ish shape) or black plastic under trim if you have ABS All just bolts on and swaps over nothing else different The seat cowls, whatever shape and year, SP hump blah, all interchangeable whatever the year Just the SP models had the hump cowl officially

Once done you cant then slide 08-11 rear fairing on without changing back to other parts. Well if you want it properly secured lol
Very comprehensive response @vic_ster51 . I think what Connor is asking is whether the 2015 pillion seat cover (rather than complete tail end ) will fit onto a standard 2011 tail end, i.e. a like-for-like swap of the plastic pillion over only.
