Was looking at possibly getting a 2016 Aprilia RSV4, however today received an email from Yamaha letting me know that I've been allocated a 2016 YZF-R1M and have 14 days to pay my deposit.

Currently unsure which way to go

    What do you guys think?

R1M for me, they are just lovely. 16 will not need the recall so hopefully all the issued sorted... the aprillia is stunning but think my head would rule heart on those two bikes...

Nice choice to have though ;)

    Yes, thanks.
After the reliability issues I had with Ducati - Blew up the engine of the Desmosedici and destroyed the gearbox of the 1098R, along with a host of other problems I'm a little apprehensive about getting another Italian bike.

Would be at the back of my mind, specially if its going to see a fair bit of track... not just reliability - but also if you need anything replaced in the event of a bit of off piste riding

Yup as above R1M if it's hitting the track.

Steve, Happy New Year and hope your well.

Just hope the R1M can pull away from the Carbon Blade unlike the 2015 S1000RR......LOL

My hearts saying RSV all day long! Stunning bike and in a Fastbikes tests it came out amazingly well above the opposition ....

But my heads saying R1M.... Purely for reliability and servicing costs and build quality ....

That's a hard call to make....

    Good luck...

Got the be the R1m, as others have said purely for the reliability aspect, and on looksits the R1 again
I'm considering selling my Blade later in the year and buying a used Panigale, but still this niggling doubt in my mind, ' am I going to regret it'
But that aside, what a fantastic decision you have to make.
