hi has anybody split the mirror to remove the casings , the clips , etc ive look in the manual but I don't trust myself without trashing the mirror. I just want to remove the plastic to get painted or hydro dipped to cover the scratches on them , cheers .
I have and I trashed it. I was going to get it repaired but ended up buying a new one. I'm not sure how good a repair would look. I broke a couple of the plastic tabs when I took the old one apart. It's best to warm the plastic a bit before prising it apart. I'll take a few pictures when I get back from holiday
