The bike starts and sets off ok, but get to around 7k rpm and it has a massive dip in power, almost like rolling off the throttle momentarily. Above 7k, it goes again, but not like I would expect, just feels like it holding back. Only had it a couple of weeks and this was first ride out. The demo bike didn’t do this. Totally standard bike apart from rearsets. Any ideas?
The dealer said they test rode it and it was ok!!! It’s definitely not ok.

Is it a brand new 19 as with 0 miles when you collected it? I'm just wondering if the ecu is like the previous models and self learning. If it is then you might notice it smoothing itself out once you start putting the miles on it more?!? I'm really not sure, just a shot in the dark....

Did you give some when you were running it in ....as lozzy says above if you were doing it to the book it may now be waking up.....what power mode are you are....mode 3 will hold it back slightly but it should never feel like it's holding back...if no joy from dealer go to Honda direct they should send someone to look at it....

Don't like the sound of that much. At 7k it should be pulling like a train. @RC45 might be able to help, he's very knowledgeable about the 17-19 SPs

I thought the “self learning” thing was a load of bollocks?

The MT10 in mode 3 cuts things abruptly before digging in again. Shit in that mode anyway!
