Anyway, the R 1 is still quite a small bike. The seat height is taller than average, but that is just to help it tip in. The bike itself is still small. I am sure the reach to the bars is less than my 2015 Blade - it certainly feels smaller (and lighter) than my old 2015 Blade - it is just the seat height that is taller.

One lad locally who is also tall has two R1s, that he uses for the track mostly - he has actually increased the seat height on his :D

Believe it or not the R1 has the longest reach to the bars, but also the lowest bars compared to seat height
this does make the R1 feel roomy, but for me the bars were to low so I fitted Helibars which made a big difference.
Theres a comparison of the sportsbike measurements on motorcylistonline.com but the site is playing up

I will have to have a sit on another 2015 Blade again and do the comparison back-to-back, rather than rely on memory.

The R1 has a lower shallower angle fuel tank which is very easy to lean over than the 2015 Blade - and that might affect reach in ways that does not show up as easily as a simple measurement would seem.

Also the 2015 (2014) Blade had the footpegs put back 10mm and the bars were lowered and the handlebar angles changed to make it a bit more racy.

Low-tech method. The track bike has track fairings and he has increased the seat height with padding and extra foam. He has an R1 M as well but I think that is already a bit taller as standard than the stock bike.

Got to be blue and at £15k it's the same price as the Pani V2 !
Why would you want to spend another £5k on a standard blade.
Depreciation on the R1 seem to be a lot less than a Blade.
V2 Pani looks stunning especially now it's gone single side sa but still reliability issues and running costs would be a concern.
Personally I would go for the R1 and have the wheels sprayed white :)

2020 R1 is 16,799......its the 2019 ones that are still knocking around going for 14,795. The 20 Still cheaper than the new blade too!! The V2 is a stunning looking bike and I've watched loads of reviews over the last few days and it's so highly rated...... Most describing it as the perfect balance between power and handling! I would hope reliability issues have been ironed out from the previous model it replaces?

Not gonna lie..... I rang Ducati Manchester today, they're getting a demo in January or if I place an order with 250 quid deposit now, I can get a build date. After I've ridden the demo I can decide if I want to proceed or not! ;)
