Active Quick Action Throttle

Hi all,

Does anybody on this fine site of ours have or use an Active Quick Action Throttle?

I have just bought a track bike with one fitted and I could use some advice

 

I don't have one, but did install one a few months ago on my mates bike, what do you need to know?

 

I have a long bolt coming out of the housing (between the cables) with a nut on it. Is this for some sort of adjustment?
Problem is, the bolt is so long that on hard braking my brake lever is failing against it!
I've seen pictures on the net of the QAT on other bikes without the bolt in the housing (the thread is still there)
I hope this makes sense

 

Not sure what that's for ,but could there have been some sort of thumb brake on it .?

 

took it out, had no idea what it was for, and still don't. My mates ridden 2 days already without any problems

 

Is it for the spring to keep it taught until fitted? Thats my guess.

 

That's good enough for me........just remember to wave at the end of the back straight because I can't shut the thing off lol
