Ahh thank's a shame. I don't want to sithigher. My clutch wrist gets tired quickly as soon as I hit traffic; so want to avoid the extra weight on it.

Thanks for the info:), now I will also stay away from the e-cushion

This is a bit funny but my son brought me some winter alpinestars, so they are a bit padded
Now my summer gloves are lightweight richa’s and my hands and wrists play up more with the alpines:confused:

It's not mega high...I'll take a couple of pics tomorrow anyhow of where my foot is on floor on both bikes. And you never know the fact both aftermarket seats are so comfy they might hold you in a better sitting position and not so much sliding/leaning forward. My wrists and back are 100% better with them :)

No its definitely the seat...you can feel it's thicker than the ecomfort when you poke it!

It could be that the replacement compresses more and this is why you don't notice a difference & fell more comfy.

Not unusual. The stiffness of new gloves specially thick winter ones need more effort from your wrist, finger, etc. Even after breaking in, they are not as pliable as summer ones & require more strength. Also depending on the padding, the reach to the lever changes and would also affect the feel
Some feel the difference, some don't:)

    @bonjo
I've now sat on both aftermarket seats and realised my feet are still flat on the floor with both. But the sp seat straightens my leg out a bit more so it's def thicker seat than the e comfort. I'm 5' 10 with long inside leg so if you're near that height you should be ok unless youre on tippy toes. It's possibly only a few cms but you can tell.

A little update on this thread. I went to Sussex motorbikes yesterday as they popped up somewhere to get my seat made more comfy. They use memory foam and according to their website their testing found it to be superior to gel.

I appreciate most people just semd their seat off so perhaps never see the place. Well it was a scrap yard and a very rough one at that. The owner had a plastic garden chair that they work from, crap everywhere. The foam to go in my seat was picked up off the floor and the leaves dirt etc wiped off. I have never seen such a poorly kept business. I made my excuses as i did not want to hand over £170 for my seat to be worked on in such a state. I think i will look elsewhere and try to find a professional.

Sent my seat to Saddlecraft today and opted for an alcantara cover. Will post the results.

Crikey from the photo it appears that they are based in an old farm slurry tank! Talk about a sh** company…

Little update on the seat saga.

Got my seat back from saddle craft yesterday. I opted for alcantara to provide more grip and a gell insert with extra foam.

Well the seat is grey and not black which is an issue for me as my frame is black etc. I wish i was told the alcantara is grey. The only way the seat colour should be changed from the black oem seat i sent them should be if i asked for it or they asked me to change it so will be sending it back. I just dont like the look of it. But I thought i would give the comfort a try so went on a little 90 mile ride today. Tbh it did not feel that much more comfy compared to my Honda comfort seat. The extra grip is good though. It sits a little higher on the bike and the workmanship is top notch. I just hope they sort the colour out.

Looks like a cracking job to be fair, I don't think you'll get anything that is noticeably comfier than the e-comfort seat. There's only so much you can do with foam and gel.

Colour does look a little bit on the light side....hopefully they subscribe to the old adage that the customer is always right.

    Good luck.
