Hey guys, this is not exactly for my 1000rr, but for 2013 zx6r that I just bought and asked dealer to install a steering damper. Dampers from Hyperpro is the ones that they had in stock, and I read a few things online, seems to be fairly good, but some users have had some issues in older posts. It's also a bit less expensive than Ohlins, was definitely another factor.
Can't help you with the steering dampers but I bought a set of springs for a blackbird a few years front and back. Transformed the bike but don't know how useful this is to you as I imagine it's pretty difficult to screw up springs
