Sorry if this is on an old Tread but has any one taken off the mirrors and fitted flush indicators to a Fireblade 10/11?

It was just a thought on how to improve the looks in what is in essence a race bike built by Honda for the road .As the Mirrors are only about 50% effective there would be no great loss as i always look over the shoulder in general riding. If you look at the front of Say the new Blade all you see is the mirrors so try to imagine them gone and some small flush fitting neat winkers in place (May look Cool) who knows.Thats all , and thanks for your interest .Mike.

Personally I wouldn't be riding on the road without mirrors if I could help it.

My enduro bike has no mirrors and it's a pain in the arse when on road.

Plus the day lights built into the mirrors on the blade are brilliant for helping cars see you better.

I bought a supermoto last year and realised how much i use the mirrors when i didnt have any.

Well the mirrors also bolt down the fairing so i think the best way to do it would be to buy blanking plates to bolt down the fairing and drill a hole for the wires to go throu and get the sticky back flush mounts to stick on top ? It could work with a fiddle i guess but you would need to bolt something on to hold the fairing down

Not knocking it mate. End of the day it's your bike and each to their own but I think your alot safer with mirrors/indicators and day lights fitted.

I think only the US bikes have those ?

I find the mirrors on the blade quite good as sports bikes go.

I think it would probably look good, I always used to take mirrors and indicators of my bikes when I was younger (they only broke when I fell off  ) but these days I'd keep them on.

The LED daytime running lights are standard across regions AFAIK and (a) look great (b) really do a good job at making you more noticeable

Just gone looking through some pics and yes, you are right. I can't believe I've never noticed them before, but then I suppose I'm normally sitting on the bike when the lights are on !

So i bet you've never noticed the red LED's in the standard can either? They look great at night, but imperceptible in the day.... only noticed mine when a mate pointed them out 2mths after i bought it.
