Powerlifting, photography and science research.

I did a skydive in Thailand a few years ago, one of the best things I ever experienced, but in the UK it seems I'm too heavy, otherwise I'd probably do it semi frequently.

My true passion was submission grappling, but I had to stop that quite a few years ago due to biceps tendonitis, and thinking I knew better than my body and could just 'work through it'

One of my photos as the stills photographer from the Giants Live event in Leeds 2015 as Eddie Halls approaches the bar to beak the all time Deadlift World Record with 463kg

Then me being stupid, messing about pulling one handed deadlifts with 180kg after a younger gym member encouraged me, (one day I may learn)

Last is a 300kg deadlift on Christmas day 2017

What's the go with UK skydiving regs? Is there a formula used such as participant's weight measured against canopy dimensions etc which obviously affects the rate of descent?

 

When I looked, pretty much every place had a 94kg weight limit.

 

That must put most people over 6’ out (I’m 6’3” and 102kg) - I’m no athlete but I’m not ‘heavy’

Yes, very frustrating. If it makes you feel any better, I'll rate myself as an 'alleged' guitar player.

 

It all depends on the centre you go to really and whatever weight limit theyre TI is comfortable with jumping, i started with a tandem about 2 years ago and weighed about 14 1/2 stone, but it was that good i decided to go for my licenece to enable me to jump solo, now i'm 75 solo jumps further on with a B licence, also with a solo skydive your weight limit can be a maximum of 16 stone i believe.

 

Also my fingers looked like i had been having a one handed battle with a cheese grater

 

I must have bought the same guitar as you. Mines sat there next to a Yamaha keyboard I bought at Christmas which I dont play at present.

 

I have a cheese grater in my bedside drawer, but I guess that story's best left for another day!

 

For me it's golf and internet pornography.

Obviously the golf, especially if you have the pringle tank top and rupert the bear trousers!

 

For me, both are equally as good for 18 holes.
