Would hazard a guess that like the flapper in the air intake on the blade or to do with the pair valve system
I think its the little fecker that controls the flapper valve to open the flap in the air intake ! Bin the lot
Ok boys your on the right tracks, not that i know much about it. Its already been removed but is throwing up an error code so i presume i just need to use a resistor to get rid of the error code however I'm having problems finding where the plug is that it was plugged into so that i can use a resistor..
There is that and if Collin would of removed my abs then i might still have one, so i hold him fully responsible
It plugs in on the panel under the fairing on the left hand side (as you sit on the bike). Took all mine out recently and didn't get an error code !
If you had had the Woolich Pro Log ECU Flashing kit installed you can switch off all these pesky errors at source once the Junks been removed!
Thank you Blackness, however mine is a zx10 but is situated in more or less the same place Its been removed, i know this because its sat in front of me on the coffee table Fi code 2d comes up and that simply says Air Intake Solenoid Valve Fault, so I'm thing i need to bridge some wires somewhere???
haha. Matt, get yourself a workshop manual on disc,it will have (or at least shuould, the bloody bmw doesn't ) aw wirung schematic on there, that will tell you where the plug is.
Ohhh, you didn't say it was a kwaka... Not a clue then buddy I'm afraid...Plus its electrics and as i found myself today, they cause me minor strokes !
Matt you could always just attach the solenoid back onto the bike and live with the few extra grams weight but it will allow the ECU to be happy as it still see the draw from the solenoid but the rest of the gubbins it normally interacts with is gone! It would save buying a large resister which will take the current draw and having to hardwire it into the loom! These can get very hot or just blow out if resister is too low to cope with power demands! Not sure how much of weight difference there will be in the end between resistor and plastic solenoid TBH.
