    Hi All,

Getting a Blade next Weds and been looking into the history of the model / paint scheme.

    It's a 2014 Repsol.

As far as I can make out dealers commissioned Repsol colours in 2014 and gave the jobs out to companies like Racepaint, I've emailed them and asked about my bike and they said they didn't paint this one.

Do dealers around the country use different paint shops for commissioned work? So that's why the paint job may vary slightly?

I've done a HPi on it and it shows there has been no colour change on it, only plate change and log book shows Orange so paint must of been done before registration (so properly I hope).

Anyone know any history on these at all?

    Thanks.

    This is the bike -

Check the VIN. If they didn't do Repsol in that year it may be a late reg 2013.

Alternatively check the colour code sticker when you have you hands on it.

The repsols from the factory are silver frames not black - as @Barstewardsquad said get the vin number and you’ll be able to tell the year from the 10th character it’ll be E for a 2014 or D for 2013

Other simple checks, 14 ignition key is shorter and fatter, 2 longer thinner easier to bend.
Front fork tops, 14-16 are grey, 12-13 blue.

Can't see from the pics though.

It's a 14....got 5 bolts instead of 7 on the petrol cap....you'll also enjoy the gurgling of the tank after a long ride...spooky

That's a lovely bike, haven't seen one of them before - probably as there were only 5!

Not sure who supplying dealer was, will find out when I get it probably, that one I bought from Lloyd Cooper.
