Coming to you from Adelaide,Australia. Its hot here right now.. I started riding road bikes last year and kicked things off with the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300. Good learners bike as we in Australia have a power/weight ratio restriction. Build quality on the Kawasaki was terrible so I will never own a Kawasaki again, plus imo the ZX10 looks second worst only to the GSXR. I always loved the look of the fireblade, and particularly in black or the tri colour. I had never considered getting a Repsol fanboy one.....until a local store had one for sale at a price i couldn't pass up. I had considered getting a 600cc but I knew it would only be a stepping stone to lose money on so I went balls deep and got the literbike. I decided to break her in hard. As the dealership was around 45 km away from home straight up the freeway, i did power runs and decels through all the gears, and no i didn't thrash it just hard acceleration up to about 6-7k. Dropped the oil soon as i got home, my god was it metallic. Kept running her like i would normally ride for the next 500km and dropped the oil again, looked like new with no metallics. Just got my first dealership service done for warranty on the weekend. Mods so far: Oggy Knob Chassis Protectors/sliders Cox Radiator Guard Yoshimura R77 Stainless Exhaust. Annitori Gen2 Quickshifter Planned Mods: Tail Tidy, yoshi or R&G? I got to say great bike awesome taste welcome to the forum But I would say that as I have the same bike I didn't get a certificate of authenticity though !
great intro and welcome to the forum. Loving the Repsol. faster than the rest and Do not tell us how warm it is, git. from Matt in the flooded wet and cold UK
hi mate and welcome to the forum.... nice bike, but I'm sure I've read here somewhere that the HRC ones are the quicker ones ... How much does a new blade set one back down under? I'lm hopefully moving back there in 2016 and want to know whether to take my 2013 stuff with me or not, not quite sure whether I'll be still riding then or not
Hi Welcome, I'm a Repsol man too, great choice, it's a beaut. You will need a bung for the petrol tank so the petrol doesn't all run out tho. Mike.
Hey mate I managed to pick mine up at 16,500AUD on Road with 3 months registration. Usually they would be around 17,000 + on roads so around 17,800. You can't give up riding with the weather we have here!
Here is the Annitori Quickshifter, as you can see it uses a HM strain gauge. It has a three mode controller with different delay presets. Im using the standard amber led settings but might make it more sensitive and see if that suits me better. Here are some quick snaps of the R77 i installed on Monday. I cant get the shield to sit where I want it. I pushed the yoshi pipe hard up against the flange on the stock headers and that seems to make the entire unit too far forwards on the bike. Which in turn makes the shield to far forwards...
G'day mate. It's a well known fact that repsols are the bikes that don't pass QC. Honda just paint em orange and sell them cheap with a certificate of authenticity to get rid of them Thats why your pipe don't fit
