Baffle in for me mate!! Don't know about MPG, but my days of setting off car alarms (SP1 with Arrow cans or my SP2 with Akrapovics) or trying to go to sleep with ringing in my ears (even though I wear ear plugs) are long gone.

it doesn't make a huge amount of difference with the akky systems tbh, tested with and without, about 102 with and 104-5 without.

if your asking regarding MPG though, then I'd sell up and go buy a scoot

I've got a Austin racing gp1 with no baffles in and still getting 120-130miles per tank. Defo baffle out

How is the baffle alone going to affect your fuel consumption?

Different back pressure being applied to the engine, in an ideal world the bike should be retuned fueling wise to suit any aftermarket exhaust as stock gets strangled by the cat and other emissions additions!

Tbh I'm in the camp of if your looking at mpg figures you bought the wrong vehicle! ;)

thanks for your replays .lol .am not bothered about mpg just wondered that*s all .the only time i would think about how many miles am going to get out of my tank is if i go on tour and the petrol stations can become sparse because if the baffle in gets you 20/30 miles more saves the stress of the o fuck .. o and Sunday blasts DEFO OUT

There's no way baffle in will give you 20/30 more miles more like 20/30 yards if any

Although I'm all for not upsetting the neighbours there's definitely an argument for baffle out if only for the idiot drivers on the road to know your there.....only prob is that after an hour riding your ears feel like they've been subjected to the loudest rave ever!!!

I think you'll find if still running std lamda sensor it will see lots of lean fuelling on the lower rev range, due to air reversal up the short exhaust pipe and making it think you are in need of more fuel.
So yes, mpg can be effected, but never bought mine to be an ornament or mpg being a concern.

Then again, toured to Italy and around German, try being with different people and bikes with different tank ranges is anonying, one was a RSV, so can understand touring concerns.

    Totally disagree with you mate.
Letting idiot drivers know you're there is about road positioning and patience. As much as we might like to think that the public see us as Rossi on his weekend off, they actually see us as noisy knobs trying to bully our way around the roads.
Unfortunately some just reinforce this view by riding without due regard to other road users.
Loud pipes saves life's is bollocks.

I didn't say it saves lives....just helps. I also don't need a lecture on road positioning and I certainly don't bully other road users....I'm a very considerate person who's been riding 21 years thanks. But everyone is entitled to their opinions.

filtering through slow moving traffic is not bullying it's what motorcyclists do and I've had my experiences of drivers who do not want to sit in their lane and just pull out on you. That's all I'm saying buddy.

For short Sunday morning blast out, but anything longer than 100 or so miles in.
