I actually took my own back wheel out today to clean the chain and back wheel. First time I've done this in about 30 years.

Was it heavier or lighter than it used to be?

Just did the same to mine this afternoon, and the front. Fitted a set of captive spacers to both wheels at the same time. Good things them. At least it's easier than needing 3 pair of hands when changing your wheels.

Mike - probably about the same, but like Exup' says and additional hand would be useful. I couldn't do both wheels on the same day! That is just plain madness.

Both the wheels took me less than an hour and a half. Those captive spacers make a big difference. I need to get one of those stub shafts sorted next.
