I've come across a problem when it comes to replacing my boots. The ones I have are like industrial style Doc Martins (lace up with steel toes etc)... yes... I get picked on for wearing these... but now they're actually getting worn out. I tried to ride wearing sport boots but nearly dropped my bike when I realised that I couldn't go on my tiptoes - the boots just don't flex at the ankle!! Anyone know of any protective boots that can flex enough to allow me to use my tiptoes when I stop at junctions etc? Thanks!!
I reckon 'Santa' would be expecting a bit more than a Can O cheap lager and a Mince Pie if U were to get a pair of them Ms Ro!
I’m height challenged too! Found Alpine Stars SMX Plus and Dainese Torque Pro outs quite flexy in the heel once broken in. Not had the pleasure of owning Daytona’s but will deffo give them a go! Do also check your suspension sags though. It may be a case the preloads were previously adjusted for a higher ride height. If appropriate , increasing the sag by a couple of mills can make the difference from tippy toes to nearly balls of feet. My previous CB1000R was initially way too tall, got the suspension adjusted and found the sags where too low. When I got it back I was immediately more confident in slow/filtering type applications due to the lower ride height, as the comp/rebounds were adjusted properly too it handled like on rails too!
