went out the other night for a couple of hours, called in on my way home to maccy d's , sat in the carpark minding my own business , when 2 patrol cars pulled up about 100 yards from me, two coppers proceeded to get out and walk towards me.
At this point I'm thinking " this ain't good " , they then started talking to me to warn me off some diesel spills in the area & idiot holiday traffic , admire my bike, complemented me on wearing full leathers, despite it being hot as hell, wished me a good ride and went on there way.
At this point I breathed out and enjoyed the rest of my burger.
Could see loads of people looking out the maccys thinking I'd had a bollocking lol
My faith in them is restored allbeit for a brief time anyway.

Good one, They're only human beings. Just remember, quite a few traffic cops are riders themselves.

Now if it had been one of my team when I was serving they'd likely have stood you a coffee as well.:)

As they subtly checked over your bike to see what they could get you on.....

Better than the 'Bs' sat in their Speed Awareness Camera vans. I went for a nice blast to The Raven the other night to find one of the vans parked up on an industrial estate in Runcorn. It was gone 8pm the road is empty no houses, schools, workers going home or accidents on the road, yet they've slapped a 30 limit on it. It's purely a cash generator and ruined a good night out with the possibility of a Nipper dropping through my letter box - rant over

Went to court when I was 17 to watch two coppers bare faced lie after I gave evidence against them as they had previously cuffed a lad behind his back then proceeded to beat him round his head with a truncheon!
Never really trusted any of them since.

Well, you go into Debenhams and get some arsey assistants and some spot on assistants....

You go on holiday and get Crap holiday reps and ace holiday reps....

    Get the picture....;)

Fair do's to the two cops. Good example for them to set to their colleagues...

Hope you don't get a NIP. That's my biggest concern - seeing a camera van and grabbing the front to slow down regardless of what speed im doing.

I hate those 2 weeks countdowns waiting for the NIP to arrive!

I think that's the worst part...it's like a slow torture

I think if they catch you...they should be made to have big electronic message boards on their roofs which light up with your reg followed by 'Tha's shit it lad'.......or similar local saying depending on the force :D

Well, I'm a traffic cop, and the majority of my colleagues are riders. We love a good ride out for lunch at times and we also do the bike safe courses and try and run events to stop and sell the course to new riders especially.

There are some bad apples in my job who go over the top, but my approach to it is:- I'll never do to you, what I do myself. I think that is fair enough, by traffic standards.
