For those of you that are interested I have wieghed the disc rotors listed below - all were either new or nearly new:

    1. Standard front rotor.
    2. SP front rotor.
    3. Brembo T-Drive front rotor
    4. Standard rear rotor
    5. Wavey rear rotor
    6. MMR rear rotor.

The T-drives were heaviest as they are thicker than the standard (with corresponding increase in cost & performance)

I noticed the weight difference between the OE and my Brembo Oro discs... the performance difference is certainly worth it though.

Shame that the Brembo's rust so must mind if left wet... the OE's have never been that bad in comparison.

More iron in them which is actually better for breaking! Hence better performance

Oem discs are a compromise between and and longevity hence not rusting as much and price

    That explains it ... :)

Just hoping they don't rust any further or the OE will be going back on!!

My Oros look terrible!, leave it wet for a day or two and the pads are welded to the discs

Same issue here... the bike got covered in salt on way home from work so snow foamed it and rinsed off and put into garage overnight. Next morning the brake discs are orange!

Annoying as the bits round the carriers aren't painted (pads don't cover this area) so they look shabby quickly... not what I expected from £400 discs!
