Need to overhall the breaks on my rr8 cant be too flash so was gonna...... put on some braided lines, take sheen of the pads with carbarundum. clean the pistons and the discs. New fluid. Can anyone recommend some braided lines (bf goodrich) on my other bike. dot 4.1 or 5.1 fluid A good cleaner for pistons and discs And any handy tips (usually use the clear pipe and glass jar technique for bleeding.
I have tended to head towards Hel for stainless lines, for a street bike I would highly recomend gettin the "over mudguard" setup for the lines as they easily fit into existing lines mounting points rather than having to find room to fit race setup as they can be hard to route without just touching bodywork or such. Each time I was gettin lines I mainly bought hel due to deals off the traders on here and pretty sure discount bikers store has a great deal on lines we got a set off them couple of weeks back, give them a pm n they should see you right. As for the brake fluid I would stick to 4.1 if your into spirited heavy braking sessions you can get high temp 4.1 from various big brands like motul and castrol. The 5.1 although gives high temp fade figures draws in moisture faster than 4.1 fluid so requires more frequent fluid changes.
