Will be getting my Mono block Brembo M4s back from Mode Performance fully serviced with new pistons and seals....... can I just (for now) comfortably do a staright swap on my 08 track bike.....I would like to try them in Almeria..... haven't done caliper changes in years and only then like for like...... will they be ok with existing master cylinder etc..... and if so what's the best fluid to use ??

    Any advice plz.....

Mine went straight on mate, just removed the spacers.

    Use motal rbf 600

Ideally I reckon without doubt they could do with an mc upgrade, but still think they have improved braking.

1 hour should see you have the MC fitted and bled to the calipers.

The fluid will be drained anyway, would be rude not to fit the MC!

Id say the MC would make more difference than calipers alone too but as a pair, ideal situation.

The longest bit of the job will be the fluid drain and rebleed anyway, the MC is only two bolts, a hose clip and a banjo bolt!

They've been sat around for almost 18 months (ok say nowt) !!! :(........ bought them knowing that there was a possibility of losing pressure so had calipers fully serviced (new pistons and seals) just didn't want any part of Almeria spoilt by possible brake fail if anything is nt right with MC.......

The Brembo MC and calipers are far easier to bleed than OEM to be honest mate.
It is definitely worth the effort to get them done.

    Looks good mate.

It always takes a little longer to bleed from dry unless you have a speed bleeder. A good investment if you are doing regular fluid changes. Mine cost all of £17
