Just read in this week's Motorcycle News (p73) that 3-time British BSB champion, Ryuichi Kiyonari is to take over Dan Linfoot's Blade for this weekend. He will be up to the task also, having been riding for the Moriwaki Honda Team in the Japanese Superbike series. Really looking forward to seeing him perform and I expect no less than a podium!
You sound confident Nigel? This is a rider who has to have he perfect bike and perfect mind frame to go well, slightest thing not going his way and he rides around at the back
I'll get a signed photo of him for you while I'm on pit lane walk about acting like a star struck teenager!
I'll be there Monday too, looks like weather is going to be nice too, big change from last year when we went.
Didn’t see race one but caught race 2 on Eurosport. Delighted with the results and encouraging for the rest of the season.
Was never going to get near Nigel! Must be the sp sentiment lol my mate is the crew chief for that bike and I would imagine he wasn’t liking that result??
Couldn't think of anything worse than wearing leathers today and trudging round with the arse hanging down near your knees and carrying kit! The amount of people I saw that genuinely looked like they were suffering.......shorts and polo shirt for me! Absolutely cracking day of racing and got myself a good old fashioned t shirt tan! Oh and Nigel I got your signed pic of Kiyo!
Nah. Perhaps misguided historical sentiment. The guy brought a lot of enjoyment to racing in the 2000s. I thought he might still have it in him. O'Halloran, and Linfoot for that matter, have shown/are showing that the Blade still has potential in the right hands. Le Mans is a good example. But lesson learnt. In future, I'll keep my tips to myself. Thanks. I'll go out and buy a blingy frame tomorrow!
