I put them on myself, purchased from someone on eBay. The left hand side one is an Akrapovivc one; can’t get a righ hand side one. The chap I bought them from glued a sticker on them(Akrapovic) , it doesn’t look too bad. Consequently , I hav a spare LHS carbon panel with a sticker on!
Notice. Wheels, rear lights &number plate holder, rear suspension and exhaust are from a much later blade. Gold forks with Ohlins interior bought from this forum. Also, ASV levers and gold rear brake. And a power commander 5 . Also, GI pro gear indicator. I think I have mentioned most. Probably, the best looking blade in England.
I couldn't park my sp on that surface would do my Ocd in......too dirty....tail tidy and a smaller hugger would make it look better ....
I like my 'stunted' bikes but prefer to think of them as having had a rear end 'circumcision'. Not religious based of course, but sure makes it look neater and easier to clean!!
Remember Mr Honda pay millions of yen to their aesthetics and design departments to come up with perfect tail end. I agree with them. I would not put a dodgy tail tidy on my bicycle!
And then the designers and engineers go "f**k it that doesn't meet regulations, let's just use the compliant design from the Daughter of the Head of Accounts that we rejected as being hideous and unworthy of public viewing, we can escape the justified ridicule and blame the legislators" *This may or may not be a work of fiction
Aw, come on Mr Great Guy. Ya gotta do better than that! Didn't Henry Ford pay designers millions of US Dollars to design the ill-fated Edsel? (Of course this is another case of 'each to their own' along with the short versus large hugger I suppose. We all love our machines for how WE want them).
I don’t think Honda do a shorter (own brand) hugger. I do agree a shorter hugger would look more meaty!
