Yeah 1st thing i did was check the re-list only to be disappointed it was a zx9r. With prices being asked that must have sold at £4.5k.

It’s the 2nd gen 10r I like as it was slightly tamed after the 1st gen lunacy. It was actually one of those I went to view and they had my current blade in the window and i fell in love with it and bought it instead.

Only zx10r I would get is the 04 MENTAL and everyone wants a good one the later ones drop like a stone in value and build quality is shocking. The 954 all seem to have high miles . I have 3 on my list either rr4 954 hrc 07 what ever comes up first.

I wasn’t sure on the build quality I had a new ZX6-R J1 and it seemed decent but that was 2001 so didn’t know if build quality went down hill. All the 04 10Rs that come up are high milers I would imagine one with decent miles would demand a high price.

Yeah the only low miles 954 at the moment has 2k miles and they want £7k for it lol

Out of interest; as you guys have been more on the market than me, would my RR7 HRC be worth? Ball park figure. It has just shy of 25k on it and good condition

I’ve not looked at rr7s so couldn’t say to be fair. I’ve only been looking at around the £4k market.

It’s what someone is willing to pay for it , my Daytona was at 4K not a sniff dropped it to £3750 phone hasn’t stopped. With 25k miles you will have to set the price low I reckon?? I would pay 5k for a low mile say 10000 miles with a full history and in standard trim.

Spooners can I ask what blade you’ve got at the moment and why you’re looking to swap?

That was what I was thinking. The prices seemed all over the place around Xmas time. If I sold I’d be pitching at £4-4.2k

2015 repsol in my avatar. It’s a lot of money tied up in the garage having only done 500 miles in the last year. It’s my dream bike and don’t want to sell it but it’s a waste sitting there and i’m not well off enough to have it sat there doing nothing. Ideally i’d want something for £3.5k and have £4k back in the bank but i’m not going to find anything low mileage for £3.5k

Low miles your talking a bit more than £3500 , £4500/£5000 you will then you would better of keeping the repsol??
    There’s a 11 plate just been put on eBay 25k miles £4500

For someone who just wants a blade in the garage to pop out on on the odd sunny Sunday that’s a good bike. Good bike I had one like that in 2013 think I had been on a gsxr750 for a couple of years got this blade on a Saturday morning roads slightly damp and I remember thinking fuck this fast as the back wheel was spinning up ha ha

I know that’s what I meant when i had doubts about selling mine now it’s dropped in value to what it has. I offered £3850 for that rr4 but he wouldn’t have it and it did make me think am i even doing the right thing selling mine. I cant mess the bloke about though its a done deal on mine.

Nah, far from an expert. Prices are everywhere at the mo. I just keep trawling eBay so I can beat @gary1966 to the best bikes:D:D.

Okay, confession time:(. I'm gunna cop flak for this. Gary actually posted me a link to the Erion. I replied that 'I'd seen it before (about 1 week earlier) and if something doesn't hit me straight away, I'm not interested.'

Anyway, I looked at the link (ebay) and thought, 'Mmm, it's really not half bad.' I immediately emailed the seller for further details. Those details satisfying me, I arranged to view last Saturday and told him if I like it I'll leave deposit and arrange a courier for the following week. In the meantime, I kept looking at the pics and thinking, 'It's actually better than half alright'.

Next thing I've booked a van for the Saturday and grabbed a heap of cash form the bank just in case an online transfer via my phone didn't work. The rest is history. I'm banning myself from eBay for a while. But then again . . .o_O
