Only if you leave it on charge overnight and it goes flat straight away the next day. Once a battery's dead, they're usually not recoverable.

Hi Elle, you say you bought the bike off ebay and you've had it delivered. have you bought it off a dealer or was it a private sale?

I only ask as with you having it delivered........i'm presuming it was a dealer. if so they should sort the battery for you. o_O

You originally mentioned it had 56k on the clock but in your latest post say it's been delivered with 36k on it?!? . Is that a typo or has it mysteriously lost 20k lol

Checking on the MOT status, looks like it was a typo, as its last MOT had 34k on the clock with a pass. So a decent score for the price!

Hi sorry for late reply been having a play on it today wow I’ve fallen in love again haha. In the eBay add it said 56k and I paid £2095 for it but when it turned up today the clocks read 36k so the seller put a typo error and listed it for £2095 haha. Bit of a update on the battery issue I had it off today to check for any wiring issues around by the battery but when I put it back on I had no electric at all tried to bump it again everything was flashing turned it off removed the battery again checked the fuses in the block next to the battery the one in the pink/red cover 30amp was blown changed that put battery back on had electric again bumped it but didn’t have any headlight lights just the little one above the headlights everything else seemed to work fine I’m going to get a new battery tomorrow but has anyone experienced this issue? What I have noticed is when I press the right hand indicator it flashes fine. When I press the left indicator it kind of stutters before it flashes normal sorry if I sound dumb I don’t know what to call it haha apart from that issue rides and looks like it’s only got 100mile on the clock

I was thinking the same thing and could that be causing the battery not to charge correctly cheers

Re the flash on the indicators, i had similar on an XL1000 and after removing the switch and clean with WD40 all worked well, cost nothing to try and only 10 mins

Whoa! Damn sure I wouldn't trust Halfords' staff with my bike.

That might sound over-critical, but I don't think the kind of staff I've seen in my local area would have a clue about bikes. Sure, a battery's a battery, but to me it would be like taking your wife to a vet for a gynaecological check up.

I damaged my Thule roof rack bike bars years ago and was in a rush going away so dashed to nearest Halford's, got some replacement ones & asked them to fit them while I did some other stuff nearby. I went back a while later to find 2 young lads scratching their heads and it still not on fully. I was just about to ask them if they knew what they were doing when I noticed one of the racks was on the wrong way about lol.....
I wouldn't trust them with a bucket of water if my knickers were on fire

Very strange you mention that. It's on my list for when I go to Toolstation this week: https://www.toolstation.com/search?q=multimeter

I particularly like the one with a temperature probe but will have to seek advice as to whether it is performed orally or anally.

Also have to buy a fibreglass repair kit to repair locating holes on little aprilia seat cowl.
