Any forum members camp for the cadwell round of the BSB? Thinking of going this year but have only ever camped at snetterton - are the facilities the same (toilets/showers etc) also any good vantage points for the racing? Think I’ll spend most of my time at the mountain if I go!
Mate wish I could answer your question. My days of camping for the weekend at a track are long gone (thankfully). Back in the day my priorities were- 1, Is my bike locked up 2, where is the bar. 3, after pitching my tent can I see any references so I can find my tent later.
I take the car mate! beers open, bbq on, tent up, bikes! That’s my order of priority’s then bikes beers bbq for the rest of the weekend. Thinking of taking my older neighbour (he’s 45 ) I can get free tickets to any round due to a tooling supplier
They have the usual camping facilities. Just pitch up with your wash gear for the shower block and head to the paddock diner in the morning for breakfast. There are toilets and a tap either end of the paddock, but only one shower block next to the scrutineering bay.
I thought it would be much the same but thought worth the ask! Think it’ll be a goer if I can obtain a full weekend pass from the boss!
I always just sleep in the car when I go track-day camping. I can't be bothered with tents and BBQ's. I bring a cooler, some sandwiches or just eat at the track.
I may look into this Golfy..... I've Already spoken to @Selmer50mark about Donnington wsbk, but the plan for that is hotel near the track, weekend pass for Sat and Sunday, superpole and race 1 Saturday, get right on the piss Saturday night with a few fellow forum members wishing to meet up and race day Sunday!! Anyone fancy it?? We're hoping to do the old camping bbq thing at Oulton in May!!
I just go home from Cadwell and sleep in a comfy bed Good old Thunderboxes. A plank resting on 2x50 gallon oil drums, plank removed nightly, petrol or kerosone dumped in the hole rapidly followed with a flare or similar!
How about a forum weekender? Beers, bbq, bikes, then puking after I’ve undercooked/overcooked everything
I live just a few minutes down the road from Cadwell. Every year there's a reason why I'm busy on BSB weekend. I finish working his year it looks like I'm finally going to be able to go...proper excited! Edit: Also, they fitted new loos round the far side last year.
Got my tickets on order (get them free from a supplier at work with a charity donation) everyone wins
