I sent Arthur a PM a while ago about servicing and didn't hear back from him. Does anyone know - is he OK, was very surprised when I didn't hear back.

Arthur, if you're about, I PM'd you about servicing costs - thanks!

:eek:Hey Arthur while your on this thread mate, I would like your opinion on sumthin please :) I bought Activ8 friction reducer oil additive and chain cleaner and lube! I'm using the chain products which I'm pleased with but I'm apprehensive about use the oil additive! the testimonials are all positive but there are some negatives online about using such stuff as it stops oil sticking to some of the vital internals components like cams which may corrode as a result! What do you think of these additives could they feck your engine or can they make a difference. ;)

    Cheers Trev

P.s sorry to hear about your off mate!!! Hope your thumb isn't given much grief mate! Sorry I should have read the whole thread before posting this

Sorry to hear about your spill, Art. Please get it properly supported. I suspect you can come up with something more efficient than the NHS could to do the job.

Yeah a lolly pop stick and gaffa tape :)...lol No I'm fine mate not the first time and prob not the last...

Oil additives.... a HOT topic (no pun)... I have had lots to do with TruBlu oil stabilisers but unlike most it's not a coating base product like slick50 etc.. If you google TruBlu oil you will find some old post from me dating back some years on the subject.. It's a long subject!!!!

I don't know Aciv8 and at the mo have not had a look at the data on it, I take it that it can be used with wet clutches?
What do you mean it does not stick to cams etc? that in its self does not sound good?
Is your bike still under warantee? Honda would not warantee the motor if ANY oil adatives are used that much is for sure.
Not sure also how RR8+ would deal with additives..
Got a link to the product so I can have a read with out googling it?

Hi Art yeah Activ8 can be used with wet clutches but the statement about the cams is because seamingly it coats the metal so oil doesn't cling to the surfaces so exposing them to moisture this was about oil additves online! I have a 2010 Blade so no warranty!
There was a demo at the Scottish Bike Show which looked very impressive! The same demo is on you tube here is the demo and the the link! Thanks again Art :)
