I have a few scratches in the pillion seat cowl of my Speed Triple, from where my Kriega rucksack has rubbed against the cowl.

I'd like to avoid the expense of a replacement cowl or getting it repainted; I expect they will polish out with an orbital polisher anyway, although I only have hand pads etc and don't trust myself with an orbital polisher.

Would anyone in the SE (near Camberley, Surrey) be happy to help me out? I'll cover petrol etc and happy to contribute beer tokens!

Is that any better than Scratch-X? Been trying with both Autoglym polish and Scratch-X, but that seems to be doing very little.

Cheers Matt - have bought from CYC before. I have bought some of the Sonus SFX-1 on your recommendation - hopefully it will blend the fine scratches in better than Scratch-X.

Id help you and not far away, I have the S1-3 from CYC and they work very well! BUT I am not an expert and even though I have used them many times on my own and mates bikes with very good results I could not guarantee what they outcome could be, but you are welcome to come to mine some time and use it with my help... :)

Thanks Arthur. I'll try the Sonus stuff that Matt has recommended and see how we go, maybe take you up on your offer when the weather improves! ;)

Matt, just to say thanks for recommending this mate. Did a much better job than Scratch-X!

Couple of attempts with the Sonus made everything good as new again!
