Yes, true. I didn't think I'd need to qualify that in my post, but fair enough point. Sometimes we can take for granted the knowledge (or lack thereof) of others.

You’d be surprised the number of bikers who put car oil in their engines and swear by it

 

It is the clutch that is the problem, car oils have extra friction reducers that can make bike clutches slip, and once you have it on the plates you struggle to get it off
