Yup, only thing is silverstone doesnt really entice the 'group' aspect of the day, and it really isnt any place for those not used to a trackday, its a very, very fast circuit.

Your only as fast as you want to be :) there will still be groups for people of various levels.

I think what we have here is a sort of North/South devide .I am perhaps in the Middle being in Cheshire .Looking at it Logical it will be down to Travel distance i live about 20 minutes from Oulton Park so you would undertand the relutance to travel to Brands Hatch and for someone who lives near Kent wanting to travel to Croft .So i think this tread will end in local sub groups meeting up at a location say within 50 miles of home and getting on with it .Only a Thought!

Certainly not, over on PH we had our end of season TD at mallory, we had people from the borders, people who live within earshot of brands, people from brizzle, all over the UK.

if you pick the right circuit and give people enough notice, they will come.

Matt, ive done well over 100 TD's, and back in 2008 FE were a cracking bunch, unfortunately they keep dropping there service levels and cattlehorning customers on td's.

45 people in one group is wrong, plain and simple, not only that the instructors are just plain rude, couldnt give two hoots about people riding safely on track and they dont apologise when they cock up.

other things like tyre support etc boil my urine also, 30 quid to change tyres is a pisstake, as i say, 4 years ago they were the kings of TDO's, nowadays No Limits and Easytrack are way way ahead in those stakes.

This isnt just my opinion BTW, take a look on any of the major bike & bikesport forums

Totally agree with the above. Done a few TD's with FE this year and on a positive they have been cheap like £109 at Oulton mid summer but you get what you pay for unfortunately.

No limits are the best company I have used by a country mile.

As above i wont be handing any money over to Fucked Up Events just because they are so bloody rude to the paying customer, particularly in briefings. I did Silverstone with them twice in 2009 and never again.

50 miles FFS, I have dodgy knees , but can manage 100 miles !!! It's gotta be somewhere central, for two days preferably. Donny, Silverstone or Mallory for EVERYBODY. Don't split it up already!

They also chop and change people around in groups, Twice i have booked inters with them and being slung in novice! Also make novice go out on track first.
