Looking at doing chain and sprockets on my bike over winter, what rivet tool do people use, think its bout time I bought one instead of using a hammer:eek:. Will most likely be a DID chain if that makes any difference? If anyone's got a tool that will break and rivet that would be even better

Get the one called the whale, you will only buy it once unlike some of the cheaper alternatives

Looks a good bit of kit, can't see a difference between the rivet tool and the rivet/breaker one by whale, is there any or is the 90 quid one the same as the 140 quid one? I found it on demon tweeks website

From what I can see mate? The cheaper one only has one attachment to rivet or break the others have both attachments, might be worth a call just to confirm?

Have been using a DID KM500 for over 20 years, quality piece of kit, and sets the side plates correctly before riveting, been loaned out so many times, lost count of the number of chains broke and set, never had any issues with it

Not cheap, but quality never is

I've not got one but my mate swears by the DID one too.

I've think you might also be able to just buy the proper DID pin to use with an aftermarket tool (if its compatiable) so you get a good flare.
