Changing shock

What type of stand am I going to need to support the rear of the bike while I do it as I only have front rear paddock stands.
Any tips/do’s dont’s would be appreciated

Axle stands under the footpegs if you havent got folding ones. If you have, whip off the bolts and put long ones in.

Did you find a 2012 shock?

 

Must say I’m happy with my ABBA stand - I’d let you borrow it but you’re a bit far away

Yes I got a good deal on a nearly new one for the moment.
I’m in the middle of a lot of work for the bike so a big brand one will have to wait for now

Another solution, a long rod through the swingarm axle

 

Haven't done it myself but you deffo need to unload the swing arm
