This S1000RR forum (also running vBulletin 4.2.0) has a 'chatbox' on there which looks handy for messages that require quick responses and general O/T chit-chat: THE UK'S No1 BMW S1000RR AND HP4 OWNERS FORUM Wondered if it would be useful on here too? Whaddya think?
Traction control, different map settings, launch control and now a chatbox, it there no end to the lengths BMW will go to to try and better a Fireblade?
I would add a hint of caution here. I used to run a popular forum, and once we added a chatbox we found that the amount of content being posted on the forum dropped and as a result a lot of the useful information that would normally be added to forum posts was then lost in the chatbox feed as members used that instead to ask questions and post answers. They are great as a social thing but can affect the usefulness of the forums... Just my 2p...
Yeah, that's a very good point. It probably would detract a bit from the posts, I agree. It fits better with the chavvy S1000RR forum so let's leave it there!
