chinese front mud guard

    thinking of buying a Chinese front mud guard contacted the seller sent him some photos of mine he says he can colour match it £55 is it worth the disappointment the bike is a 2011 anniversary in blue

    I think you might be safer trying for a second hand OEM off ebay.

    I do have Chinese fairings which include a Chinese guard so the product itself is fine. I just think you're paying over the odds. Colour matching cannot effectively be done from a photo because of computer screen differences etc.

    The paint code is the key, but even then if there's the inevitable fading of the original paint your guard will be darker. A good auto shop will have a spectrograph and will colour match perfectly from scanning your bike. I've had it done twice and swear by it.;)

    That's okay. You'll get nothing but sense from me!:D;)

    PS An anniversary model is too good to allow a minor flaw to spoil it.
