having little knowledge of bike maintenance, here's my problem

Fitted some Asv levers to the blade at christmas, never been out on it until today. I think the biting point of the clutch is when the lever is pulled in and very close to the bar. I'd prefer it half way is at the mid point between fully out and fully in to the bar. What I don't know is, do I adjust the knurled thumb wheels on the lever so the lever is further away from the bar ? Or adjust the cable tensioner to give more or less slack in the cable. And what is the correct slack to have in the cable.

    Thanks in advance

    Steve

Thought there should be some play in the cable to make sure the clutch is disengaged ?

The perch adjuster sets the play and biting point from the released position (a few mills play) the adjuster on the lever sets the distance from the grip to the lever.

I like the biting point about 10-15mm from the released position
