Well done on the purchase, wishing you lots of happy miles. I am looking at quickshifters and slipper clutch for mine, but I don't live near a track, won't be doing track days. A quickshifter really is an unnecessary toy for road driving. How much quicker do we really need to upshift)) and it is another item that can go wrong. However I still might get one))

Thanks Colum, really looking forward to collecting the bike. Its not about the speed of upshifting (although i'm hoping to do some track days) its just so much fun.

I did 50k on the last qs (HM plus) never missed a beat and apart from the fun factor it doesn't half save your clutch hand on big trips...especially on a sports bike

Does anyone have an opinion on the genuine Honda quickshifter as an add on?

I have an opinion.....it should come standard!

Seriously though, fitting an aftermarket QS on a 17+ blade wouldn't really make much sense to me. The OE QS will have all the wiring already and it will just be a plug and play affair at the dealer with a switch on in one of the menus.

If it were me I would be wanting the dealer to knock a bit more off than what you've mentioned already.

Hmm, decisions decisions. Which to prioritise first, quickshifter or slipper clutch???

I think I agree it will be better fitting a proper OE unit. TBH if I go aftermarket they normally only do upshift. To add a blipper it will work out about the same £600 so might as well go Honda.

Have ordered the matt black blade. Getting ASV levers and a Honda QS put on it. That's means I cant get it until after next Wednesday as the levers are on back order. Frustrating. Getting excited now! Upgrading from a Street Triple. Typical the weather is turning bad!

Frig that. I'd collect the bike and take it back for the levers or swap them yourself. It's the proverbial piece of piss!!:)

Congrats on the bike, by the way!!

Thanks. Loving the quickshifter. You're right. I had an upshifter on my street triple but really like the downshift - once I remembered to use it!
