Hi, and welcome Home, Oggy!!!!! Lovely bike in a great colour scheme!!! First time I've seen a red front hugger on a TT Legends scheme and it looks ACE!!!! Enjoy!!!
Thanks Matrix. You're right!! Only just noticed. Looking at the last 2 yrs colours, they were blue or white and red for this year.
Hi and welcome Oggy. I too am coming over from the dark side same as yourself - R1 to Fireblade. I pick mine up next Friday and I think this is the most excited I've ever been about a new bike, and I've already been waiting 6 weeks!
I know what you mean mate, if been walking around with a semi since Tuesday. Was a hard decession to make was swaying between the two for weeks, even had a 1100 Hypermotard pop into my head at one point ( whoa! Where'd that come from!?) had a real good deal (£10000) on a brand new tcc R1, but at the end of the day, I fell for this one as soon as I saw it. The wait is killing me and I think I'm doing the Mrs head right in. Don't know what's gonna happen having two opposing forces in the garage. If you see some strange light show in the sky towards the south west, you know Obi Wan and Darth Vader don't like sharing a garage
Welcome Oggy, r1s are good but don't have the grunt of your new blade.l'm sure you will agree once you get some miles on it.
Welcome, Lovely Mate, I also bought a 2012 Black Blade, I have also owned a 2003 R1 which I thought was a brilliant bike and still rate it but the Blade is amazing, best road bike I have ever ridden. More Torque, better comfort and brilliant supension.
Hi Jimmy, I've had a 98,Y2K and my current R1 is a 05. Loved/love them to bits, but i think it's time for a change, hence the Blade.
Agree with you on the 05, I had a 99, 05 and a 10 plate... 05 was a country mile ahead of the other two imo.. wish i still had it but it still dont touch the handling of the blade which for me is all important..
The only thing i've looked at the moment mate is a Rad guard. It's already got R&G tail tidy, engine covers, swing arm sliders/bobbins and fork sliders. I did look at a taylormade. From a distance they look the Mutts nuts, but looking at closer pictures of the can, i think my youngest could do better with a Rover biscuit tin and a hoover pipe. So, i think i'll just ride it as it is for a few weeks and see how it goes.
The leo vince gp pro exhaust looks good. Im dreading pay day tomorrow. I know I'm going buy something for my fireblade!
Hi and welcome I've also came over from the dark side R1 to fireblade My RR8 handles so sweetly I love it I've always been a honda man so it was nice to come back Enjoy your ride !!!!
