Any recommendations for a set of soft, comfy leathers which aren't too heavy, sick of mine which make me feel like a trussed up turkey. At the shops suggestion I bought them snug as I was told they'd stretch and give but I'm still waiting for that to happen 3 years on. Alternatively, is there anything you can coat them with which will encourage them to go more supple?

    Thanks

Both me & the bloke got alpinestar orbiter suits & they well soft & comfy, wore in quick too. A couple of mates have got the Wolf kangaroo leathers & they are light soft & comfy too! You could always get a like new second hand pair that have been worn in?

Kangaroo leather is light and flexible. The fit depends on your body shape, I personally fit Arlen-ness really well.

My 2 piece stuff is Arlen Ness and fits fine but still a bit like cardboard to wear, does kangaroo wear in faster than cow hide?

It's thinner so has more flex and feels softer.

Thinner and more flex sounds good to me,

I've got some RST textiles, was never sure if their leather stuff was up there with quality

RST great value for money. Have got a 2 piece suit I've had for at least 7 years, excellent quality.
I'm tempted to treat myself to new leathers at Xmas as I fancy black ones as opposed to the coloured ones I've got. The black series and tractech evo 2 caught my eye.

Had my Roo BKS made to measure leathers for 7 years.fit like a glove as you would expect and very very well made but expensive. roo is lighters and softer but stronger than bull leather.

BKS made to measure, very nice too but outside my budget. I see they are doing more mass market stuff now but assume the quality wont be as high as the bespoke kit.

Had and accident in my last 2 piece RST and it survived well. Trousers burst the seams in the arse and hips and the back wore thru to my back protector but iI got up and walked away with no injuries.

I tried on one of the new range of Oxford leathers this week and was surprised how light and flexible they were. They had elasticated panels at the neck, ankles and cuffs and felt good. Only disappointment is the catalogue only said full grain leather with no mention of the thickness. Only £299 for a 1 piece tho so may be worth a shot.

M Lav gets paid to wear them and we know that the kit the main men get isn't necessarily what we buy in the shop.

If you're happy, then go for it I just don't fancy it

I don't need new leathers, I already have a 1 piece RST and new 2 piece RST. I was just putting it out there thats all, and Lavertys suit is the RP-1 which is the £500 one and is off the shelf.

I ended up with the RST Slice. Not the most expensive but after the previous off I had no issue with using their stuff. My 1 piece is maybe 5 years old and still in good nick.
