Every day I exist, operate, and spend far too many hours in the big smoke....

It grows to grate on your very being.

But every now and then, you are just taken aback at how fooking cool the place is.... There are many examples of this that just make me stand back and admire. But tonight was one of my all time favourites.

    St Pancras station. Simply mega.

Sorry for the photo experts. I phone snaps only :(

    And into perspective....

    Britain really was great then.....

    Yep St Pancras is epic...

I love London. Lived here all my life. Decided to leave London a couple of years ago with the wife, moved to West Sussex, bought a house, lasted 1 year before we both had to get back into the big smoke. Sold the house and moved back to my old flat in London. It can drive me crazy, but I love the place. Like St Pancras, London is epic.

I cant stand London. I really dont know why so many people want to come here as a tourist. The people are rude, no one wants to know you, everyone is in a rush, the traffic is horendous!! I was born in the West end. Raised in the East end, ive worked in the city most of my working life and now live in Essex. I would swap it all for the countryside any day!
I went to Manchester the other month for work and thought it was so much nicer, it had the busy city but also has some stunning countryside. Oh yes, and tge snakes pass

Damn if I new there was going to be a photo thread about Laaarrrrrnnndon I'd have taken some photos of Edmonton Green. Oh well back to that horrible green and quiet Lincolnshire tonight.

I do enjoy working in the City though, but my waist struggles with all the eateries offering such varied and tasty food lol

Nice shots of the station James. I've been to many major European cities and I have to say there are only two that I feel completely comfortable in and London is one of them. Perhaps it's because I'm so grumpy (I'd probably get on well in New York too). So, even though I've lived all my life in the sticks I never feel out of place in the Smoke. It is what it is.

    Flipping Love London.

I have ran the London Marathon five times and find the buzz of the place incredible.

When you cross the finish line on the mall you are processed towards the trucks to collect your bags, then I walk towards Trafalgar Square people still clap you and say well done, find the nearest bar for a few well deserved pints on a few occasions the barmaid has given me the first pint on the house.
Amazing place lovely people (that's from a northerner).
