HELP, on getting my 07 blade out I have caught the indicator and cracked the fairing, has anyone got any experience with aftermarket fairing I would like to change the complete plastics to avoid colour difference. Thanks in advance. Ken

Hi and welcome to the forum. Read the threads but there are lots of feedback for Chinese fairings and their strength/weakness

    Hi and welcome.

I bought an aftermarket fairing from ebay from a chinese supplier. I'm perfectly happy with it as a track bike fairing but the quality of the plastics is nowhere near that of the original. The fit is ok, not brilliant and the plastic is much more brittle. I'd look for a second hand panel if you can find one.

    Cheers,

    Mark

Thanks, I was worried that they would be a cheap alternative

It looks fine from a distance, doesn't fall off at speed and went on easily enough but the tabs on the nose are very brittle. Lining up the nose and the belly pan were not painless. For a track, great but if I'd ordered it painted to replace the OE then I'd be disappointed with the fit.

Nothing wrong with Chinese fairings, I bought a set of eBay new for about £240 plus customs. Don't let the customs charge put you off, its based on the value of the package, not weight or size. (around £40)
I was really happy with mine for my '09 a couple of years ago. You may need too drill a few holes out bigger and make the odd tweek but they're are pretty good quality in my opinion.;)

Just a thought...... If you bought an OEM panel in your bikes colour scheme you shouldn't have a problem with colour matching as long as your bike and new panel have original paintwork o_O but you'll be extremely lucky tp find the right panel tp be fair

I wouldn't be replacing my fairings for that...... I'd consider repairing it from the inside just to strengthen it and living with a hairline crack?

Can't make out what your paint scheme is but I'd say you'll struggle to get a matching OEM panel...... Or Chinese for that matter o_O

Well it took me a good 12 minutes but I found your fairings from an ebay seller. Now you could replace just the side fairing and keep the rest as spares. Colour looks pretty good match but hard to tell.
