Maybe you should email them a link to this thread?

It might buck em up a tadge.

Shame to hear all this negativity as I quite fancy a Powerbronze Carbon Hugger for my ABS bike as PB seem to be the only manufacturer to offer one specifically on their website with decent pictures and of a good size as I want one that projects rearwards a fair way to catch as much shyte as poss without looking like me owd Grans push bike!

Perhaps the mods get together and remove them from the approved list ?

it's never easy to keep everyone happy, but bloody annoying to hear the issues Carl has had

Again this is nothing the Mods can do, it's Rob's forum and only he has the power to add or remove traders or boards

Agree in a way Remal but some things have to be policed or at least commented on. If we have say have a bum outfit advertising on here , is there not just a little bit of pressure you can put on Rob so not to encourage others to spend money unwisely .I myself have no issues with PB as past service was good however Approvals must be gained with great service to all .

I'll get to the end of this episode and write to them with my general feelings, I'm generally a patient customer, however they should have put this right by now. Don't let this put you off sinewave the quality of the carbon does look good and I might have just been unlucky.

I'll post pics once I've received all the correct parts and fully fitted it.

Sorry to hear you are having such a hard time with PB Carl, I am beginning to wonder if PB should stand for 'Proper bollocks'

Thanks David, it's not that much of a problem in the scale of life, just a fly in the ointment really! It's more in their interests to bring it to a mutually satisfactory conclusion than mine, it's only £100 to me it's their reputation?

Well we got there in the end, the quality is good. I did not like the gap left between the hugger and the back of the swing arm so I adapted the original plastic cover and I like the result. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

It's not about patience David it more frustration, I could tell the full story but it would do me no favours, an apology from them would be disingenuous inferring that I'm just a difficult customer. I think powerbronze could have done much better however they are disorganised and don't appear to understand the value in a satisfied customer?

That said it is noteworthy that the end product is very good and I'm sure they are, as we speak, writing a letter of apology with a good will voucher.

    Yeh right;)

The thing is David, it didn't though, did it. It got resolved at the end of a comedy of errors, unexplained gaps in communication and broken promises. A 'second chance' is another opportunity to let someone down and in an environment crawling with those looking to grab your business the original 'error' needs to be dealt with immediately and accurately if you don't want your customer to vote with their feet.
