Anyone know where I can get rid of a jerry can of old fuel? Just drained 4lts out of a MX bike that's been sat for a year but no idea what to do with it now
After seeing a bloke at works face, hands and chest after he tried this I may give a miss lol plus prob not flammable anymore
Funny that mate, had he same issue a few weeks back, 20L jerry can I use for my genny, it had sat around for a year, had no need to use the genny until now. Stuck it in the wifes car, what they don't know, don't hurt em
Lol don't think petrol pre mixed with 2 stroke will be too healthy in the diesel, but I'm quite happy to put in your wife's car
I have several 20l Jerry cans for my ride on mower, and they regularly sit there for 6-18 months. I use it in the mower or help a bonfire get going, I like a big bonfire and having a house to refurb means lots of flammable stuff which is cheaper to burn than skip. If it's just 4ltrs and it looks clear, as in no bits in it, then just put it into a car bit by bit over the coming weeks. 1/2l or 1l mixed into 40 or 50 in a car shouldn't do any harm, well unless the car is diesel EDIT: Just saw you posted it was a two stroke as I was hammering the keyboard doh!!
A very kind local garage offered to take it including my brand new can and 20quid of my cash. What a nice bloke! I guess I will keep it
Stick it in your bike might smoke a bit tho,put diesel in a thou smoked like a Chelsea tractor ended up changing plugs ant tank but ran mint if not too much 2 stroke should be okay
I use petrol and a brush to clean my chain and if im doing any striping i trow the bolts and nuts in petrol to give them a clean with a brush.
12 months is nothing, of course it'll still be flamable. Shove it in the Mower if it's Petrol, bit of 2 stroke Oil will do no harm. Failing that any local groundsworker or Gardener who uses Petrol Hedge-trimmers, Chainsaws etc will gladly have it off U
Are we talking about £5 quids worth of fuel? Guess I best not say what is do with it then..... Must be a right bad person
I use stuff like that for any old rough cleaning jobs, old paint brushes/rollers, degreaser, cleaning my hands etc. It's always handy to have around. Mike.
