Arf Subframe would involve plunge cuts into the r&g tail unit.I have the tool but not the spare time to f it up and fix the resultant mess I will find the time to finally install a rad guard before August though. Although I highly rate Kriega, I am used to a massive tank bag on metal tanks when touring. I like to be able to quickly take everything with me. I used to just leave my waterproofs and US-10 packed chain on the bike with a cargo net over the top to discourage opportunists at the service stations. Faffing about at each stop would be annoying and I NEVER leave my stuff on the bike. Might have to ask my mate if he'll let us lock bikes together with his chain (has a top box). Would let me just take disc lock and the Kriega tail packs would be light to lug about at stops.
Alblade and/or Ukdutypaid will whine incessantly about how only Ventura will carry a laptop, 16 man canvas scout tent, travel ping-pong table and full set of golf clubs. Just ignore them. Trust me on this. It gets unruly.
yeah they are very practical but theres no way one of those is coming within a mile of my bike, too fuggly
Good idea James Wednesdays could a problem a bit of a problem for me, Thursdays would be better. I will start a thread and see who is interested.
You may find it harder to park wednesdays without p*ssing off the pubs as it's very busy in summer and LondonBikers forum meet that evening too
