Does anyone know if the blade has one and where it is , I have found the fuel overflow pipe and rad overflow pipe both near the front sprocket , but I can't find the engine breather pipe does it even have one?

Jas, the engine breather pipe normally goes into the air box to allow any build up of gasses to be burnt off in the engines cylinders rather than being just vented into the atmosphere like they used to in old car engines!

Ok thanks that's one less job then as part of the Acu regs requires you to put the end pipe into a collection bottle so I presume some bikes have a loose pipe that doesn't go in to the air box.

    Thanks .

Old cars from the 70's+ used catch cans or just vented the pipe out to atmosphere but today this is deemed bad for the environment and vehicle manufacturers are made by law to recirculate any off gasses back into the engine where the vapours get burnt along with the standard fuel.

Its easy to tell where the vent is in the air box as it usually has staining and some oil residue around it and a small piece of wire gauze to try and catch any oil particles and make the oil drain back into the engine via the breather but this gauze needs cleaning every now and again in order to stop it clogging and allowing pressure to build up in the crankcase usually leading to blowing more oil into the airbox!
