Just make sure you don’t push your wheelie bin along a public highway.:D

Does it annoy you that the hanger strap covers over the 'C' on the Akrapovic? It annoys the piss out of me

    Beat me too it :D

Will like to see the plod remove bikes running over 90db when they have factory fitted exhausts pushing out 96-98db stamped accordingly on the end can.

If it is original equipment, baffles are still fitted and it is not defective they will leave alone.

Bear in mind that it will have gone through type approval in order to be compliant with the regs of the country it is sold in.

What is the issue is the aftermarket exhaust systems and that is what is going to be targeted.

At the end of the day, the choice is down to the individual, but if you do get a pull, you have no grounds for a whinge or complaint given how long the regulations have been in place.

And the coppers have been known to do enforcement campaigns in Matlock for just that reason. Cue lots of outrage/"it's not fair, I'm being victimised" wank from people old enough to know better. FFS, we've already got a blanket 50mph maximum limit in Derbyshire because of the non stop bellendery.

I have absolutely no idea, but as I said in my previous post, it will have gone through type approval to ensure it complies with UK construction & Use regs as well as all the requirements regarding emissions...

A large proportion of aftermarket exhausts have also gone through type approval for UK road use.

Ridden sensibly with the baffle in it would take a complete tool of a police officer to bother you.

99db at 6125rpm, not a particularly meaningful reading I know.

Take it that writing on the inside of rivet strap is the type approval for our end cans.
I may have to see where i put my baffle

Yes, type that number into Google and you will get the EC type approval cert

I agree, but you will always get a jobsworth. I know, I used to work with a few who would nick their own grandmothers given half a chance.

I worked with one guy who even pulled over his wife and booked her. They started divorce proceedings shortly after, but they are out there....

I like nice sounding exhausts but the louder you are the less you can fly under the radar so it's a bit self-defeating imo... unless you just ride a bike so that people know you ride a bike, obvs.

Maybe our loud exhausts are why I seem to see so many people driving round in their cars with in-ear headphones these days

Bikes with "loud" exhausts or drivers not hearing what is going on, we can guess which will be no. 1 on the hitlist

I used to have the SC on my old blade; commuting into London it is a necessity! …a few blips to get noticed is essential.
