Am I correct in thinking that on 2012 onwards 'blades (and unlike '09-'11 bikes) when doing an oil/filter change, you only need to remove the belly-pan and it's not necessary to remove the right-hand side panel to re-place the oil filter?
I've never taken any panel off my 08 to do an oil filter change yet, I slacken off 1 or 2 Allen bolts and do the rest from in between the headers.
Think you can do the same on the 12 on but its that easy to remove the fairing I did it to have a clean up while I was doing it
Done oil and filter change on my rr9 without removing any fairing. Did have the bike on a ramp, so did make job easier.
