As a born again biker What was your first bike? Mine was a RRV918 still got it, it was chucking it down when I picked it up, adrenaline was high, before that I had a DT125 then a 20 year gap ;) 3978-1538430356-49cdf3a63bb46cf3de1e5aab85d0e2f2.jpg

I didn't take my test until I was 38, and my first was a KLV1000, (a re branded V Strom), then got the Blade 6 weeks after that despite telling myself I'd stay away from sports bikes

The first rebirth was about 1997 as my wife had finally called in the promise that when she really really insisted I would give up F2 racing and, anyway, my doctor wouldn't sign my ACU licence due to the heart attack from having an F2 bike drive over my chest so any two wheeled activity would now have to be a road bike.
    So I bought a new CBR900RR.
    It lasted three years.
The first wreck involved the other party getting charged with 'Due care' in town in traffic.
    So I bought another.
    It lasted three years too.
For the second wreck it was a white van and he was 'Drunk in charge' not a hundred yards from the previous crash.
Yes, having the other guy prosecuted makes the insurance claim easy but it was still me that bounced down the road
I said 'sod it' and bought a Range Rover 4.6HSE.
The next guy to turn right across my right of way was going to die.
That was 2003. I had finished with bikes forever. I was sure.

Then this year I finally cracked and bought another 'blade.
I have a nice Mercedes E300 for going shopping in so it's only for fun so it should last better than the others but 2021, year three, is going to be a very careful period.
