After a 9 year break I decided to return to biking as I fancy a European tour next year. Was looking at slightly newer models but seen this RR6 at just over 3k and decided it was a good buy for the price. That was about 6 weeks ago and have since done 1200mls and enjoyed every single one of those miles. I’ve a few plans to tidy it up but going to wait till the winter months as it’s a fair bit of work. Trying to decide on either a paint job or Chinese fairing kit. Already serviced it and done the tail tidy, front & rear indicators (clear flush fits since the photo). Next on the list is a fork reseal and getting the wheels repainted. I’m based in the northants area if anyone is around this way and fancies a ride out at some point.
Welcome p3, and congrats on the return to the fold. Great model the 06-07, because all the bugs were ironed out from the 04-05. Great price too; looks a clean unit, although I suspect you've achieved that yourself. Also good to see your daughter (presumably) commencing the diploma of two wheels. I'm sure you have plans to paint the Blade pink and hand it down to her in 2033.
Really fancy the alps area, haven’t looked into it fully as was going to get this summer over with first.
