Hi guys, after a bit of advice. Ive got 2009 model and Ive fitted the hrc front subframe and ohlins steering damper. I unhooked the original damper via taking the arm off the spline, can it be left in this configiration for track with out any problems?

Ive attached an image, the arm will be comoletely unbolted 15397033663222884645957262447240.jpg

    Thanks in advance

Yes mate it will be fine. Why not remove the hole unit and ignore the hesd light?

Maybe ill just take that arm off and run like that until i can get it mapped out. Its still plugged in that way so i assume it wont throw up a fault

Likely the bike will go into limp mode with it unplugged. Not sure anyone makes an eliminator for the unit.

I haven't. I run mine with the HESD and haven't had any issues with it.

I've had some nasty head shakes so bored it off! Aggresive gearing doesn't help!

I'm running stock gearing on my SP, eventually I may add an Ohlins to the system. At that time I'd likely have the HESD programmed out.
